The Council's High Adventure Training (HAT) Team is a volunteer group of highly qualified and experienced Scouters that operates as one of the key training arms for adult leaders involved in the Boy Scout and Venturing programs. Its key purpose is to provide supplemental training for leaders in advanced outdoor skills. In addition, the High Adventure Team sponsors outdoor awards, prepares special related literature and maintains liaison with the U.S. Forest Service in support of their conservation effort. Team members also promote outdoor activities throughout the Scouting program.
