High Adventure TrainedThe High Adventure Training (HAT) Team is a volunteer group of highly qualified and experienced Scouters that operates as one of the key training arms for adult leaders involved in the Boy Scout and Venturing programs.  Its key purpose is to provide supplemental training for leaders in advanced outdoor skills.  In addition, the High Adventure Team sponsors outdoor awards, prepares special related literature and maintains liaison with the U.S. Forest Service in support of their conservation effort.  Team members also promote outdoor activities throughout the Scouting program.

Training is the foundation on which a safe and enjoyable outdoor program is built.  Every unit needs adult leaders who have participated in High Adventure training.  Our newly revised Full Dimension High Adventure Training Program will be conducted on a continuous basis throughout the year.  Both Awareness Courses and Specialized Seminars constitute a well-rounded training curriculum that will meet your unit's needs.

For more information on High Adventure Training and details on the courses, view the website maintained by the HAT Team.  You can also contact Larry Watts, HAT Chairman, at (909) 595-3293 or by email for further details.
